Projects

We work on a number of projects to connect, support and build awareness in cellular agriculture in the UK. Find out more about each of our projects below.

Connecting

  • Our mentorship programme aims to cultivate talent and innovation in the field of cellular agriculture by helping to build a capable, motivated and diverse talent pool of people. We aim to support women pursuing careers or who are interested in entrepreneurship in the field of cellular agriculture to achieve their next career goal. Find out more.

  • We have a slack network of students in the UK, particularly PhD students, who are interested in or currently working in this space. This space facilitates the sharing of opportunities such as conference abstract submissions and is a place for students to engage with each other over their projects and receive peer to peer mentorship. Join the network.

  • We are creating a database of professionals who are interested in outreach activities that we might organise in the future - we haven't quite worked out what some of these will be yet, and we'd also love your input and ideas! Please note some of the activities will be for people based in the UK only due to them being in-person or for with a UK focus. Find out more.

Supporting

  • In March 2024 we ran our first virtual student conference for undergraduates and early career researchers. Find out more.

  • Curious about the latest breakthroughs in cellular agriculture? Our journal club brings together enthusiasts and researchers to explore cutting-edge literature and engage in stimulating discussion. Find out more.

  • This project is looking at catalysing the establishment of student led alt protein/cell ag societies at a number of universities in the UK. Want to set up a society at your university? Find out more.

Awareness

  • Completed in April 2023 this project used systematic analysis to highlight the potential of UK universities to become anchor institutions, or hubs, for the emerging field of cellular agriculture. Read the report

  • We have some projects in the pipeline and will share more information soon.
